I've had eczema for most of my life.
This is what I wish I knew.
I wore long sleeves all summer to hide my skin.
At school, I heard things like:
“Your hands look like my grandma’s”
“My mum said if I go to close you I'll catch your eczema”
“Ew, what's wrong with your skin”
I just wanted to feel comfortable in my own skin.
If you’ve ever felt the same, I know how hard it can be.
Since then, I’ve been through years of trial and error, studied nutrition at university and shared my skin journey on Instagram and TikTok, building a community of over 180,000 fellow eczema & TSW warriors.
I created Eczema 101 to bring together what I wish I’d understood sooner, from skin barrier care and possible flare triggers to the role of stress, gut health and hormones.
So you can feel less lost and more informed about your sensitive skin.
It’s exhausting to put in so much effort and still feel stuck.
You finally find a skincare routine that works, until your skin starts flaring again.
You've spent so much money on products, hoping the next one will be different.
You can't figure out why your skin gets worse even when you're doing everything right.
You've tried cutting out foods, changing products or following advice online, but nothing seems consistent.
You're exhausted from constantly thinking about your skin.
If I could speak with my younger self, I want to tell her: Eczema is rarely about just one thing.
Your skin barrier, immune system, stress, environment and other individual factors can all play a role.
That's why focusing on just one product or trigger doesn't always give you the full picture. And that's exactly why I created this guide.

Introducing Eczema 101 💛
Understand your eczema beyond what's happening on the surface.
After spending years dealing with eczema and learning more about my own skin, I wanted to bring everything I'd learned into one place.
Not another complicated skincare routine.
Not another list of products you need to buy.
And definitely not another promise of an overnight cure.
Just a practical guide to help you better understand your skin, recognise potential flare triggers and build habits that support your eczema care.
Because the more you understand your skin, the less you have to rely on trial and error.

Hey, I'm Remi!
I've lived with eczema for most of my life.
After more than 20 years of using topical steroids, I went through topical steroid withdrawal (TSW), an experience that completely changed how I thought about my skin.
Throughout my journey, I've spent years learning about skincare, nutrition, lifestyle habits and the different factors that can influence eczema.
I've also shared my skin journey online, including the difficult days, the progress and everything I've learned along the way.
One of the biggest things I've realised is that there's so much more to understanding eczema than finding the next cream.
Eczema 101 is the kind of guide I wish I'd had when I was trying to make sense of my own skin.
I've brought together my personal experience and research into one practical resource, so you don't have to spend hours trying to piece everything together yourself.
I'm still learning about my skin too. I hope this guide helps you feel a little more supported on your own journey.
Love, Remi ♡

A few questions you might have.
Will this guide cure my eczema?
Eczema is a complex, often chronic condition, and there's no guaranteed cure. This guide is designed to help you understand your skin and make more informed decisions about your care.
Do I need to stop using steroid creams?
No, this guide does not tell you to stop prescribed treatments. Any medication changes should be discussed with your healthcare professional.
Is this suitable if I've had eczema my whole life?
Yes! Whether you've had eczema since childhood or are just starting to learn about it, the guide covers factors that may help you better understand recurring flares and everyday skin care.
Is this another complicated skincare routine?
No. The focus is on understanding your skin and building simple, practical habits. You don't need to buy an entirely new skincare collection or follow a restrictive protocol.
Is this the same as your TSW Survival Guide?
No. Eczema 101 focuses on understanding eczema, skin barrier care, potential flare factors and supportive daily habits. The TSW Survival Guide is specifically focused on Remi's topical steroid withdrawal experience and navigating that journey.
You've spent enough time guessing what your skin needs.
You don't need another overwhelming list of things to try.
You need somewhere to start.
Understand your skin better. Build habits that support it. Feel more informed about your eczema care.
One practical guide to help you put the pieces together.
